Hey everyone, we have a CEIG grant to develop resources and training around helping trainers be aware and educated of best practiced related to creating and facilitating educational materials and programs. I'd love to get ideas from anyone in this group on what has been successful, what are pain points, etc. This was inspired by this document, which is a sort of starting place of this project. https://www.canr.msu.edu/resources/dei-in-action-developing-planning-and-facilitating-educational-p...

Wonderful writeup about the Pig Project, a Spartan Studios course I got to facilitate last fall. This experiential, interdisciplinary course involved students taking responsibility for and raising piglets at the MSU Student Organic Farm. Author Greg Teachout interviewed me and the primary instructors Laurie Thorp and Dale Rozeboom (from the overall 5-member teaching team) and really got to the heart of this course. https://undergrad.msu.edu/news/view/id/432

Just created another podcast episode for my students -- Those who choose to do so. Some listen, many do not. -- entitled Five Concrete Steps You Can Take Toward Stronger Self-Evaluative Reflections. It sounds best with a pair of headphones on, but not bad through computer speakers either.

It is important to note that the peer-educator dialogue should be an iterative process of lifelong learning and practice improvement. These are tools aimed at helping educators learn with and from one another. How an instructor-educator utilizes or shares the feedback provided in through this dialogue process is completely up to them.

Hi folks!
You should see an email going out about this workshop shortly, but I wanted to post some details here as well. On Friday, October 14, from 10-11:30 am, Piril Atabay and I will be facilitating a workshop focusing on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework and the role it plays in IAH general education classes.
