It's always an unexpected pleasure to learn that one's approach resonates with colleagues. Here is a short piece written in response to my presentation at the 2019 AAN Conference on Teaching, Learning, and Student Success, which dealt with how we might get our student to actually read what we assign each week: https://hub.msu.edu/questioning-the-compliance-narrative/

And no, I don't google myself as a habit! On the contrary, I was referred to the above link by an acquaintance. ;-)

Hi folks - Is anyone teaching a second-level IAH with an ecological or STEM-adjacent focus in Spring or Fall 23? I usually try to have at least a few classes students might consider for their next IAH class that build off themes/approaches from my first levels (in this case, Literature of Extinction), but I've fallen behind on seeing what other folks are teaching.

Hi all -

Looking forward to our discussion on 3/18! For my contribution, I'm submitting Justin Lerner's 2020 article, "'Social Workers Can't Be Republicans': Engaging Conservative Students in the Classroom."

Hope everyone's Spring Break is restful!
