Hello Everyone,
It’s me, Nick Noel, your friendly neighborhood instructional designer and technologist. I’d like to take a minute to talk about Eli Review. We’ve had this technology on campus for about seven years Since then, we’ve gone through many changes, so I think it’s time to talk about it again.
What is it?
Eli Review is a web-based peer review application. It provides an easy platform for students to review each other's work and provide feedback. Instructors set up the writing assignments, focusing on small, targeted assessments, that can lead to larger, more complicated, works.
How is it helpful?
The philosophy behind Eli Review is that “feedback is the engine of writing improvement”. For students to develop as writers, they need meaningful feedback on their work. The act of providing feedback, is also beneficial for students learning. By providing a method for instructors to direct peer feedback, and interact with it, Eli review assists in creating a community of learning within the course. So that students and instructors are all actively engaged in the learning process, and are con tributing the success of the class.
