9:00 - 10:00 am Introduction to Citation Management Suzi Teghtmeyer / Andrea Kepsel / Carin Graves Three librarians, experts in Endnote, Mendeley and Zotero, will briefly introduce the three citation management tools and demonstrate effective use of the tools to organize and enhance research, engage and partner with colleagues to share research findings, and teach graduate and undergraduates these skills to develop valued scholarly practices. There will be time for questions. Register for the session

10:00-11:00 am D2L Gradebook - Grading Sue Halick / Dr. Cui Cheng This training on how to grade in D2L assumes you already have a D2L Gradebook set up, even if you have no control over how the gradebook was set up (e.g., grading assistants). There will be time for Q&A at the end. Specifically, participants will learn how to:   
  • Enter grades and feedback 
  • Work with extra credit
  • Assess connected activities that publish to the gradebook
  • Preview individual student grades
  • Grade in bulk and/or exempt grades
  • Release a Final Calculated or Adjusted grade
  • Export and import grades Currently Scheuled for August 26th at 10 a.m.
10:00-12:00 pm Forms - Creating Forms and Surveys Michael Julian / Laura Nagy A live Virtual Instructor-Led Training session that will explore Forms, the go-to app for collecting data and storing it in Excel. Learn how to get started in Forms with areas in form and survey creation, formatting, branching, data collection, and sharing.

2:00-3:00pm Kaltura Mediaspace Jennifer Wagner / KJ Downer-Shojgreen This informational webinar will focus on Kaltura Mediaspace for creating and sharing instructional videos and video quizzes, with an emphasis on FERPA compliance. Topics covered will include:
  • Recording and uploading videos
  • Generating and purchasing captions
  • Editing videos and video details
  • Creating video quizzes and hotspots
  • Adding videos to D2L
2:30 - 4:00 pm Blended Learning Instructional Skills: In the Classroom Jay Loftus / Elle Louson Explore the sequence of blended learning; current approaches to blended learning, and strategies for sychronous classroom instruction.
