Description

Welcome to the #iteachmsu Commons

There is a huge community of educators who contribute to teaching, learning, and student success across MSU. It’s important to us to draw your attention to this expansion of the definition of “educator” because when at #iteachmsu educator certainly include in-class instructors but is intentionally much broader to also include roles such as TAs, ULAs, instructional designers, academic advisors, librarians, coaches, etc.

On such a large campus, with such a large community, it can be difficult to elevate and celebrate the high-impact practices of all educators. To address this challenge, the #iteachmsu Commons provides an educator-driven space for sharing ideas and resources, connecting across disciplines and roles, and growing in practice.

#iteachmsu Commons content may be discipline-specific or transdisciplinary, but will always be anchored in five educator competency areas. You will find short posts, blog-like articles, curated playlists, and a campus-wide teaching and learning events calendar. #iteachmsu is a space that was built by educators, for educators - meaning we cultivate it across spaces. And through your engagement, we will continue to nurture a culture of teaching and learning across MSU and beyond.

The #iteachmsu Digest is a monthly email newsletter that serves as a quick recap of some articles and playlists that were recently posted. The goal is that elevating ideas from others will help you grow in your practice and encourage you to join the conversation on iteach.msu.edu. You can sign up to receive the Digest here.
