Description

As the circumstances surrounding the university continue to shift with ongoing changes, our leadership is forced to make decisions that will prioritize the health and safety of our communities while ensuring the best possible learning expereinces for students. This section of resources all connect to considerations, tips, tools, and best practices as educators think about the most effective ways to measure learning outcomes - even as changes (such as binary grading) may continue to happen.

Anyone interested in greater detail and considerations on assessment broadly, can visit the "MSU Online Assessment Training", an extensive collection of resources on assessments that was a part of a workshop offering in the Summer of 2020.

Assessment Workshops

Description

While certainly connected to assessments and grading, feedback is a unique consideration on it's own. Educators should intentionally integrate feedback opportunities into their instruction (remote, hybrid, online, or otherwise). And remember, feedback is a two-way street... instructors need to integrate opportunities to provide feedback to learners (which is often connected with assesssment activities) but they should also build in opportunities for learners to provide them with feedback as well.

For those interested in learning more about collecting feedback from students, visit the "Mid-semster Feedback" playlist, a collection of resources to help guide educators through the process of collecting mid-semester feedback, interpreting the data, and making an action plan!

Description

As always, a primary concern of educators is student success... crafting, designing, and facilitating experiences that support students in their learning journeys and engage them in ongoing growth.

The resources shared here include key considerations, ideas to try, and "lessons from the field" (courtsey of colleagues who presented at the 2021 Spring Conference on Teaching, Learning, and Student Success).

Anyone interested in perusing all of the 2021 Spring Conference presentations, can do so by visiting the "Spring Conference on Teaching, Learning & Student Success 2021" playlist as well as the "2021 Spring Conference Poster Sessions" playlist.
