If you have a research writing/information finding component in your class, the MSU Libraries Peer Research Assistant program is equipped to help. These undergraduate students can help their peers:
Plan for a research project (such as developing a search strategy)
Find information for research papers (like scholarly articles or books)
Evaluate information (is this paper scholarly?)
Understand citation styles and create citations (MLA, APA, etc.)
Get connected to library services
Appointments and walk in hours are available in Hubbard and the Main Library: https://libguides.lib.msu.edu/engage

Hello! My name is Sarah Schultz and I serve as the Director of My Spartan Story, MSU’s new co-curricular record. I am elated to be your #ama host for September 30! At MSU, we know students are participating in beyond-the-classroom experiences where learning is occurring such as jobs, leadership positions, student organizations, and more. Beginning this fall, students will be formally recognized for their engagement and learning through My Spartan Story and the Spartan Experience Record, an official MSU document which students can request through the Registrar’s Office alongside their transcript. As a new initiative at MSU, I am happy to answer questions on co-curricular experiences, how you can get involved with My Spartan Story, and all things beyond-the-classroom learning.

Digital Humanities did a great job with this Code of Conduct they drafted for an upcoming conference. Do you have a similar document? Have you found it useful to include these sorts of items within a given event or conference (or something that's more discipline-specific)? Digital Humanities also came up with a reporting form that accompanies this document. Let me know if you'd like to see that too!

Hi Ungraders,
Thanks to all who were able to attend our 4/4 session and greetings to those who weren't able to. I wanted to post the questions that were indicated as "follow up needed" as folks left the space last week so we can continue the conversation, sharing, and support. In no particular they are:
1. How to encourage/increase undergrad/student readiness?
2. How do we ensure ungrading doesn't reproduce grade inequities?
3. How do you set students up to manage self-direction?
4. How to negotiate internal and external ecosystems - jobs?
5. How can we keep the atmosphere competitive even with ungrading?
I hope folks can simmer on these and share reflections, ideas, and resources as they come up. Also, I hope folks can add more questions, ideas, and resources.
